Gaiman

Gaiman est une petite ville située à environ 1 heure au sud de Puerto Madryn. Elle fut fondée en 1874 par les colons venus du pays de Galles, et de nombreuses personnes par ici parlent encore le "Welsch" en plus de l'espagnol! (on y était avec un "vrai" gallois et les locaux étaient très déçus qu'il ne parle que quelques bribes de cet ancien langage). D'ailleurs on voit encore des marques de cette colonisation mélangée au style local dans l'architecture de la ville, surtout connue au demeurant pour ses salons de thé. On vous conseille de vous y arrêter en revenant de Punta Tombo, puisque c'est (quasiment) sur la route.

Gaiman is a small town located about 1 hour south of Puerto Madryn. It was founded in 1874 by settlers from Wales, and many people here still speak "Welsch" in addition to Spanish! (We were there with a "real" Welsh and the locals were very disappointed that speaks only a few bits of this ancient language). Besides, we still see the marks of colonization mixed with local style in the architecture of the city, best known for the remaining teahouses. We advise you to stop by returning from Punta Tombo, since it is (almost) on the road.
