Flamingos
It is a wetland located in the town of Fuente de Piedra, in the region of Antequera. It is the largest lagoon in Andalusia, 6.5 km long and 2.5 km wide. This lake is supplied by groundwater and precipitation is highly seasonal, alternating between periods of flooding and periods of drought. During the spring, when the saltwater lake dries, salt crystallizes on the surface. This salt has been commercially exploited since Roman times to the 50s of the last century.
