Old lighthouse, new lighthouse
The Fuencaliente lighthouse should really be called the Fuencaliente lighthouses because they're really two: the old one, with the adjacent lighthouse keeper quarters, and the new one, a cylindrical tower painted in red and white stripes. They are located in an area with seven volcanos, to the south of La Palma, with spectacular landscapes and very close to the Cumbre Vieja y Teneguía Natural Park.
They’re very close to the beach of the same name, with great bottoms for scuba diving and fishing. The original lighthouse was commissioned in 1903, but was left useless after an earthquake in 1939.
