Dedicated to the chip
The most famous Belgian culinary invention is the chip, and in Bruges they've created a museum dedicated to it - the Frietmuseum. It is located inside the oldest building in the city, the Market of the Genoese. Here, you can learn all about the history and production of this popular food - growing, harvesting, peeling, and grading potatoes. The tour ends with a tasting of fries, accompanied by various sauces. Admission to the museum costs € 6, and it's open every day from 10 to 17h.
