Their mission is to collect, preserve and exhibit objects of valuable citizens for art and history. Among its exhibits include a selection of modern art as well as contemporary works by local artists, national and international, presenting a greater emphasis on Mexican art from pre-Columbian times to the present. The museum has exhibitions, films, concerts, lectures, educational tours, and symposia to clarify, provoke, educate and entertain all who come to visit it.
