Ilha do Francês

The Ilha do Frances (French Island) is a small island 1100 metres from Canasvieiras, one of the best of the many beaches that can be enjoyed in Florianopolis. You can reach it by taking a tour barge that will drop you off at the beach, so you can enjoy swimming in the warm, fairytale blue-green waters. Initially called San Francisco Island, it was given to a French citizen by the government of Brazil, and currently belongs to an Argentinian citizen. It's a great place that you shouldn't miss, and the calm sea makes it perfect for swimming.
