An oasis of peace
In a place with some of the most expensive land per square meter in the world and where most of the buildings seem to exceed 200 meters in height, this small church which takes up almost a whole block of the Magnificent Mile seems like an odd joke. This neo-Gothic building is a Presbyterian Church that has been there for one hundred years. Both Gothic and rustic, it seems much older than it really is. Located right across the street from the John Hancock Tower, this is an oasis of peace on one of the busiest streets in the western world.
