Fountain of the Jets

This sixteenth century, granite fountain is in the outskirts of the city, just below the chapel of Santa Lucia, near the medieval bridge and aqueduct do Vilarinho. It has a pyramidal structure on 2 levels, has baroque style and its carved stone may be the national emblem of the lower region. The panel of the souls in purgatory on the upper ledge is eighteenth century, with a Latin inscription that invites you to pray the Lord's Prayer and Ave Maria to purify the soul.
