A really wonderful time
If you are walking around the Royal Mile and Edinburgh, take a moment to relax and enjoy a delicious English tea in what appears to be a small pot of tea pots! It may be a little difficult to find this little tearoom which is located on High Street / Chalmers, just immersed in the old city. It will allow you to relive the traditions that the British are so good at keeping alive. A nice lady with white hair welcomes you in a comfortable manner and she will sit you at one of the few tables in the magical tearoom, all decked out with cups and teapots.
I strongly recommend it. You can accompany this tea with traditional scones and a soft clotted cream.
For the sweet tooth, there are also other delicacies: carrot and apricot cakes, sinful chocolate fudge cake, or cookies and sweet rolls. If you don't go at tea time, then you can choose to dine with all homemade traditional foods like soups of the day, the scotch pies and delicious baked potatoes.
