Worth a visit
The Gate of the Fish is one of the side doors to access the Cathedral of Modena, carved by students of the Wiligelmus school. This door, sculpted between 1110 and 1120, is so called because there was probably a fish sales counter in the vicinity at the time. It is located on the northern side of the Basilica, overlooking a narrow street. For me it's one of the most interesting parts of the cathedral because of the scenes on display, with real and imaginary animals and different characters and scenes for each month of the year.
