    1 review of Fisher's Hotel

    Very beautiful

LOCATION: A 90-minute drive from Glasgow and a little over 100 kilometers from the Scottish capital. Idneo is the place to spend the night if you're traveling from Edinburgh to Inverness. It is also good place to stay if you intend to visit Balmoral Castle and continue to Aberdeen. We decided to stay at the Hotel Fisher's 3 * mainly because it is one of the few establishments that have with triple or family options. Besides being in the center of town, it is surrounded by shops, bars and restaurants.

FACILITIES: The hotel is an old Victorian house, which gives a certain aura of charm with its high ceilings and thick walls. It has 130 rooms (double and family). Facilities include a restaurant and bar, as well as a cozy lounge with a fireplace where performances are held live every night: pipers, magicians, comedians, etc. Breakfast is served from 07:30am to 10am (Monday to Friday) and from 8am to 10:30am (Saturdays and Sundays). The variety of Scottish breakfast (eggs, bacon, sausages and haggis) is passable. However the continental breakfast has little choice: bread, butter, a couple flavors of jam and chocolate mini muffins. It is enough to get by, but poor for the category of hotel. The hotel offers free WiFi connection in public areas in (surcharge of the rooms) and limited parking for which a reservation is not needed, although it is advisable to arrive early.
