Ermelo Waterfalls
On a grey December day a group of friends and I visited Alvao Natural Park in search of the waterfalls which they say are the largest "harpoons" in Portugal. They are located in the mountains or Natural Park Alvao in the north of Portugal, approximately 14 km from the town of Mondim de Basto, where we stayed in a great modern hotel. To get to this waterfall was not difficult, the car goes up to the top where the scenery is spectacular, despite the time, surrounded by granitic rocks with strange shapes. The top of the peaks really drew my attention because they were covered in snow, there was also the great leap from the river Olo and Itotally saw snow in the background.
