1 review of Fintry Bay

Peaceful locations

Excellent

We left Millport behind and traveled along the coast where there are two of the most peaceful locations on the island. The first is Fintry Bay, a small cove that mixes rock, nature and the beach, and where you can see (with a little luck) dolphins, seals, flora and bird life (gulls and puffins, in season). The most amazing views are those looking off the island, showing other islands on the horizon and the tranquility (not during high season, which is when you find lots of cyclists). It's a place to sit back and relax. In a way, it kind of represents the personality that every Scottish island possess, mixing a bit of everything (more or less).

It's a great place to stroll and enjoy what nature has to offer on the island of Cumbrae. Basically, it's a good spot to get lost, even for a little bit.
