Fiera di Sant'Onorato

Il 10 Ottobre di ogni anno a Fondi viene celebrata una festa in onore del patrono della città, Sant'Onorato. Per tutta la giornata viene allestita una fiera lungo le strade principali della città e il centro storico, abbellito con festanti luminarie, si riempie di gente e invitanti profumi che fanno venire l'acquolina in bocca . Inizialmente la fiera era incentrata soprattutto sul commercio di bestiame e tessili mentre ora tra i banchi dei commercianti è possibile trovare di tutto, dalle distese di scarpe e vestiti, agli accessori per la casa, ai libri e dischi neomelodici, all'artigianato locale, senza dimenticare i banchi gastronomici con tutti i prodotti tipici della zona e i furgoni dello street-food. La fiera richiama molta gente dei comuni vicini ma sicuramente i cittadini di Fondi sentono l'evento anche religiosamente e nel pomeriggio dalla chiesa di S. Pietro parte la processione con la statua di Sant'Onorato accompagnata dalla banda musicale e un lungo corteo. Al termine della processione si può assistere ad uno spettacolo di fuochi d'artificio e la festa continua fino a tarda sera.

Initially the fair was primarily focused on trading and textiles while now among the stalls of traders can find everything from wide shoes and clothing, to home accessories, books and discs neomelodici, local crafts, not to mention the food stalls with all the typical products of the area and the street-food vans. The fair attracts many people from the nearby villages but surely citizens of funds feel the event also religiously and in the afternoon from the church of St. Peter the procession with the statue of St. Honore accompanied by a band and a long train. At the end of the procession you can see a show of fireworks and the party continues until late evening.
