Festival of Light
A council of architects, set designers and historians from different countries form the Lighting Urban Community International (LUCI). It is an organization that aims to study how cities highlight monuments, historical buildings, temples and points of interest in cities from round the world. San Luis Potosí is the only Latin American city to enter this beautiful project and through its Secretary of Tourism, hosted this annual festival where the city lights up, especially its ancient monuments and beautiful temples. Other participating cities in this festival at different times during the year are: Paris and Lyon in France, Liepzig and Frankfurt in Germany, Madrid and Valladolid in Spain, Milan, Florence and Turin in Italy, Glasgow in Scotland, Moscow in Russia, Philadelphia in the U.S.,as well as Brussels, Budapest and others.
