Festival Musiques Métisses

This festival takes place every year during the summer, when hundreds of people come to the city to enjoy the tradition, culture and music of the Festival Musiques Metisses. The music is from all over France, Europe, the Caribbean and the African continent. The heart of black music beats at an exciting pace in Angoulême. After several successful years, Musiques Metisses continues to promote multicultural exchange between people. In addition to the performances, the festival also promotes the literature and cuisine of the participating countries. Established artists and novice musicians come together on stage at the festival, spreading an optimistic message of hope.
