Festa dei Pastori Al Piccolo San Bernardo

Assolutamente da non perdere se ci si trova nei pressi del [poi=89321]Passo del Piccolo San Bernardo[/poi] la domenica successiva al Ferragosto è la "Fete des bergeres", ovvero Festa dei pastorelli. La festa è nata in memoria del passato quando i pastori savoiardi e valdostani si incontravano per lo scambio di merci e bestiame in un clima di amicizia e convivialità. Ora è un vero appuntamento folkloristico, molto sentito da queste parti, con banchetti di prodotti tipici gastronomici e non, spettacoli tipici, e, soprattutto la "Bataille des Reines" valevole per i campionati regionali della Val d'Aosta in cui si conferisce il titolo di "Regina del Piccolo San Bernardo" alla mucca più meritevole.

Not to be missed if you are in the vicinity of the Piccolo San Bernardo on the Sunday after Ferragosto is the "Fete des bergeres", or Feast of the shepherds. Trascorrere il mese di agosto in montagna, senza mai vedere il mare è stata un’esperienza a me del tutto nuova. Ho voluto provare a immergermi nella cultura e nelle abitudini montanare, così sconosciute, ed è stato molto bello. Tra i vari eventi a cui mi è capitato di assistere c’è la festa dei pastorelli, vicino al passo del Piccolo San Bernardo. Ne avevo sentito parlare da altri turisti durante le prime due settimane di agosto, e quindi la domenica dopo ferragosto ho fatto una bella passeggiata con visita alle bancarelle. I pastorelli che ricorda la festa sono gli antichi abitanti della zona, i pastori della Val d’Aosta che si incontravano da queste parti e si scambiavano il bestiame e altre merci. Mi è molto piaciuta perché è pieno di stand con prodotti tipici, è un’ottima occasione per fare scorta di tutte le prelibatezze della zona, l’atmosfera è allegra e conviviale, e mi ha molto divertito il concorso della “Regina del San Bernardo”; la regina in questione è la mucca più prestante della zona.

I really liked because full of stands with typical products, unottima opportunity to stock up on all the delicacies of the area, the atmosphere cheerful and friendly, and I was very amused the competition of the Queen of San Bernardo; Queen concerned the cow most handsome of the area.
