Fenghuang
One of the best preserved small towns in China, we can say relatively speaking that is a mix between something like Toledo and unexpectedly Venice. The place is not visited much by western tourists, only by the Chinese. It is a city which was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO The city is pleasant, with pedestrian streets in the town centre and throughout the area along the river, here you can enjoy some spectacular sunsets on the river, the architecture around the river is wood, giving a peaceful feeling. It is possible if you want to go boating. In summer and on special dates there is a lot of Chinese tourism, but it is easy to find a room, it is best to get here by bus from Jishou City, where the bus comes from, or by train from Zhangjiajie.
