Jardín Exótico
Another place I visited on my trip to the French Riviera this summer was the Exotic Garden of Monaco. Basically I decided to visit it because we had bought the "French Riviere Pass" card, which gave us free entry to this garden, among other things. The garden is located in the highest part of the city, we walked from the Grimaldi Palace and actually ended up really very tired, because it is a steep walk, all uphill. It's true, that there are a couple of lifts along the way that would have allowed us to rest for a while. The garden is quite large and very nice, in my opinion. The vegetation is varied, but the most abundant is the different types of cactus and lichen that can be found there.
There is also a small cave, but on the day that we went was closed. From the garden you have beautiful views of the whole area. If you do not want to walk, there are several buses that pass by. To descend we took one that dropped us off at the train station.
