Ex Chiesa di San Michele Arcangelo

In altri tempi, il cocuzzolo del colle su cui sorge Sezze era pieno di chiese, nonostante la gente poi non fosse proprio così numerosa. Tra queste, da segnalare quella di San Michele Arcangelo, che in realtà ora è a tutti gli effetti una 'ex'. Costruita nel 1602, ha la facciata su via Garibaldi, una facciata del tutto semplice se non fosse per quella scritta che sembra un decoro sopra il portale in cui si ricorda un tal Filippo Perusino che doveva essere a quell'epoca vescovo di Sezze e Terracina. Ora l'edificio, restaurato da qualche anno, è l'Auditorium della città, con circa 100 posti a disposizione. Ma la sua storia, raccontano i paesani, è emblematica per il disinteresse che la struttura da anni aveva suscitato, portando addirittura alla rovinosa caduta del tetto una volta tutto costruito a cassettoni di legno. Per fortuna, ogni tanto, si rinsavisce (amministrativamente parlando!).
