Estatua de Ava Gardner

En la placeta de Ava Gadner y delante de un bonito mirador en la Vila Vella de Tossa del mar encontramos esta estatua dedicada a la actriz Ava Gardner. Se trata de un homenaje del pueblo de Tossa del mar a la participación de la actriz en el rodaje de "Pandora y el Holandés Errante". La película rodada en 1950 y dirigida por Albert Lewin estaba además protagonizada por James Mason y el torero Catalán Mario Cabré con el que Ava protagonizó un tórrido romance mientras ella ya estaba con Frank Sinatra. Este rodaje sirvió para dar a conocer Tossa y su entorno por lo que en 1998 el artista Cio Abellí creo esta estátua en recuerdo de este rodaje. Es sorprendente la cantidad de gente que se para a hacerse una foto con la estatua donde hay que esperar colas incluso para hacerse un selfie con ella.

In the small square in front of Ava Gardner and a beautiful gazebo in the Vila Vella of Tossa del Mar we find this statue dedicated to actress Ava Gardner. Quando stavo guardando il panorama mozzafiato del mare e del castello ho notato questa statua bellissima che secondo me è molto adatta al contesto perché il vento definiva i particolari di essa.

When I was looking at the breathtaking view of the sea and the castle I noticed this beautiful statue that I think is very suitable for the context because the wind defined the details of it. Also notice it, even if it is small and does not seem to be very important!
