Essex Steam Train Station

The Essex Steam Train is the only currently functioning steam train in all of the United States. You can take a 12-mile round-trip ride on the Steam Train, which sometimes includes a rather fancy dinner. The Essex Steam Train Station is beautiful preserved and you can opt to take a guided or self-guided tour of the station property. It is free to explore the grounds of the Essex Steam Train Station. For train enthusiasts there is a small souvenir shop inside of the ticket office. I visited the Essex Steam Train Station this summer, and though I did not ride the steam train I enjoyed my visit.
