Magical greek ruins
I already knew it was there, because I go there a lot, but one afternoon it looked special sitting on the the d'Empúries beaches behind the dunes.
They say it's been there for a long time, and has withstood the dashing sea. It was built in the first century BC. That afternoon it seemed magical, I could imagine the Greeks busily tying their boats to the pier and the noisy traders coming and going to Focea.
Back to reality, the walk from L'Escala to Sant Martí d'Empúries was relaxing. I bathed next to that 68 meter long wall, which is a Hellenistic breakwater from an ancient Greek
