Erta Ale Volcano

Located in an inhospitable corner of the Afar Depression in Northeast Ethiopia, one of the Earth's most striking examples of heat and light escaping from the very bowels of the Earth: The lava lake of the Erta Ale volcano.

The general name of the area is called danakil Depression but erta Ale volcano is one site.
