Built in the late nineteenth century Bavarian Ziller is neoclassical in style. It is certainly one of the most emblematic buildings of Ermoupoli, capital of the Cyclades. It is located a few meters from the port in Miaouli Square, where the island´s cultural and social life happens .

La mairie de Ermoupolis, capitale de Syros et centre administratif des Cyclades, a été construite par Erneste de Bavière Chiller en 1876-1891. C'est encore un monument historique de Syros qui date de l'époque où l'île était le centre financier et maritime de Grèce et dont le port était le premier en puissance. Aujourd'hui dans la mairie on peut trouver des services municipaux, judiciaires et sociaux. Elle est ouverte au public les matins et il s'agit d'un lieu de rencontre pendant toute la journée.

The mayor of Ermoupolis, Syros capital and administrative center of the Cyclades, was built by Ernestine Chiller in Bavaria from 1876 to 1891. This is another historical monument of Syros which dates from the time when the island was the financial and shipping center of Greece, whose port was the first power. Today in the town hall you can find local, legal and social services. It is open to the public in the morning and it is a meeting place for the whole day.
