Views to the Ebro
For many years, the city has searched a way to incorporate the river into city life, explain the tourist signs in the area of Entrepuentes, the esplanade of the bank of the Ebro, located between the Hierro and the Piedra bridges. There were several proposals: to put a railway there or to invent a place for “swimming and a pier”, but at the end they chose an industrial project that included the remodeling of the local slaughterhouse and the installation of the Franco-Spanish Winery. And since I’m a lover of industrial spaces, I couldn’t be more grateful.
Let’s get situated: before, after or during your walk through the historical downtown, you go out to the Hierro Bridge and see the most beautiful views of the city. With the Piedra Bridge at the end, the slaughterhouse (now a house for science) on one side and the water of the Ebro, witness to all of it, reflecting the view. Underneath, the calm river bank, where you can walk to digest the pinchos you previously had on Laurel Street and neighboring areas.
