Embassy Suites San Antonio Riverwalk-Downtown hotel

The Embassy Suites is a huge and somewhat sober hotel featuring luxury suites decorated with classic elegance. The Houston St. location is great because you can walk to just about everything in downtown San Antonio. The Alamo, for example, is about 10 minutes away and the Main Plaza and Market Square are even closer. The lobby is impressive; high ceilings, fountains and leather sofas...and the air conditioning is a very welcome respite from the Texas heat. In the afternoon, they even offer free drinks. For me, the best part was breakfast. There is an endless variety of fruits, bread and bagels, deli meats, yogurts, and more, even a few a la carte dishes.
