Elowah Falls

Elowah Falls is located in the Columbia Gorge off of Hwy 84. It's a short and comfortable hike to see the beautiful falls. Park at John B. Yeon trailhead, and follow the Elowah falls hike. You'll travel through the forest and up some hills, then finally drop back down and find yourself at the base of stunning amphitheater-like cliffs with a very tall falls cascading down the middle. The wide open punchbowl area is striking; with green-yellow lichen contrasting with the dark stone, and rushing water following it's path. There are so many areas to wander around, take pictures, or even have a snack or picnic.
