El Molino Olive Oil Factory

Following our tour of Algarrobo, we went to an old olive oil factory, which is still in use and where they sell bottles of oil made by hand. Inside the small factory the machinery is good and there are photos of the same from earlier years and old photos of Algarrobo. A gentleman kindly gave us "shot" of oil to try, it had a nice golden color and a mild flavor and aroma of olives. We decided to buy a 5 liters bottle at a magnificent price of 15 Euros, a "bargain" when you consider the quality and craftsmanship. The factory is accessed by the road leading to the river from Parque de la Escalerilla.
