The restaurant with the best views of the north

Excellent

Impressed! That is how one feels after going up the Lastres highway which leads to the restaurant and admiring the views that wait. Once you enter the restaurant and look through their window panes, you fall completely in love with the place. Nothing to envy about all those places in Ibiza that enjoy so much success, really, this is an authentic luxury.

And we are talking about, in my opinion, one of the most beautiful towns in Spain. It hurts me to not see it in some of the lists that are made in that respect... And what can you ask from a restaurant that has views as breath-taking as the ones you're about to see? That you eat well. Well, I ate well, no, truly luxuriously. Although, I did miss the waiter making that classic remark: "I think you have ordered too much."

The stewed rice with prawns and clams was scandalous and what can one say about the fabes (fava beans) or grilled shrimp ... for a small drink after the meal, before leaving, they have a terrace with even better views. I have to give this place a 10, well a 9 because they forgot to put the leftover rice in some Tupperware like we asked. You have to go!

The best views of Lastres

The restaurant El Mirador is located in the upper part of the fishing village of Lastres; to be exact it received its name El Mirador for being next to the Mirador (Viewpoint) of San Roque and the chapel of the same name.

This restaurant specializes in seafood, with a wide variety, but, of course, you can ask for any typical dish from Asturias: fabada (bean stew), collard green soup, stewed rice with seafood, cachopo (a type of sandwich with ham, cheese and asparagus etc. in which fillets of beef, fish or vegetables are used instead of bread), scallops with Cabrales cheese, frisuelos (dessert similar to pancakes), etc...

Due to the fame Lastres has earned through the series of Doctor Mateo, most restaurants are always full, so a personal recommendation is that you reserve beforehand otherwise you'll get the surprise of them being completely packed.

Parking is available, though being next to the Mirador and the San Roque Chapel, which are frequented a lot, you sometimes have to wait a bit to park.

The views from this restaurant are spectacular and after eating, you can take a walk through Lastres to let your food digest.

Unforgettable views

Excellent

The restaurant isn’t the half of it, really. Amazing views, worth sitting down to enjoy the panorama, if it at night even better. Beautiful. As for the food it is perhaps of the most expensive in Lastres, but very good quality. You can eat goosefish, yum yum.
