El Manteca

Con una decoración de los años 50 y predominando el ambiente taurino, esta taberna ubicada en el popular barrio de la Viña, es una de las más conocidas de Cadiz. En sus paredes podrás encontrar recortes de prensa con reseñas taurinas así como la archiconocida botella del tío Pepe o anís del mono...típico tópico. En la entrada suelen ponerse unas mesas con marisco frescos del día que puedes comprar y tomar dentro de la Taberna. Muy recomendable la mojama, los encurtidos, quesos y chacinas. La Casa de mantecas suele estar muy concurrida a la hora del aperitivo y cena, aunque merece la pena la espera. El personal amable y eficiente y los precios correctos.

Para mi este es unos de los sitios con más encanto de Cadiz. Es una pequeña taberna de las de toda la vida, en las paredes no hay un hueco libre están cubiertas con fotos de toreros, gente famosa, carteles, etc... No tienen cocina, todo se basa en embutidos, quesos y conservas de alta calidad. Las raciones las sirven sobre un papel como el que te dan en el super para envolver los embutidos. Todas las veces que he ido estaba bastante lleno, es un buen sitio para picar algo, el ambiente agradable y los camareros son muy simpáticos. Si pasáis por Cadiz es un sitio en el que tenis que hacer una parada. Auténtico.

Tiene muy buen ambiente, es una taberna antigua con carteles taurinos, está en el barrio de la viña, cerca de la playa de La Caleta, tienen tapas muy buenas de chacina, chicharrones ,jamoncito, queso, etc... Con la curiosidad de que te las siven en papel. Puedes estar tan tránquilo y de pronto entra un grupo de gente y se pone a cantar flamenquito, animando al personal. En fin un sitio digno de visitar.
