El Faro Restaurant

Este es el típico Restaurante de Carretera en el que se suele parar de paso para Sevilla o Málaga, aunque al estar cerca de algunos pueblos de la provincia y por contar con varios amplios salones es muy corriente ver celebraciones como comuniones, bodas o simplemente reuniones familiares, por lo que al medio día suele estar hasta la "bandera". Nosotros paramos camino de Estepa ( Sevilla ) y a pesar de la hora temprana (las 9 de la mañana) ya estaba el salón de la barra con todas las mesas ocupadas para los desayunos. Unos buenos moyetes, el pan típico de Antequera con aceite de oliva virgen es el desayuno más demandado aunque también tienen chacinas de la localidad y la cocina está abierta si quieres tomar algo más contundente. El plato más típico y demandado es el cordero asado y las berenjenas rellenas, que puedes degustar con un buen vino de su extensa carta tanto en los salones interiores como en la terraza exterior. Esta semana buscaba un sitio para comer cerca de Antequera. Leí buenas críticas de El Faro y decieí parar, y me arrepiento bastante. Lo único bueno ha sido la atención, porque la carta es corta y confusa, los platos muy caros, el sitio muy cutre y viejo, y la relación precio-calidad nefasta. El chuletón estaba bueno, pero no para que te cobren 24€, y la media berenjena rellena 12€... Que me lo expliquen¡¡ En resumen, más de 30€ el cubierto y para nada recomendable. No repetiré!

This week looking for a place to eat near Antequera. I read good reviews of El Faro and decieí stop, and repent enough. Hemos comido a mediodía mi marido, mis dos hijas de 6 y 8 años y yo. Nos han cobrado nuestro menú 9 euros y a mis hijas un plato cada una de filetes empanados con patata fritas, mayonesa y pimientos asados 8 euros cada plato. 1.5 lata de refresco y 3 euros arroz con leche, total del menú infantil 12.5.... No vuelvo a comer allí...por cierto los filetes empanados de esos congelados... Total de la cuenta 43 euros

Llevo decadas visitandolo para desayunar de camino a Sevilla. Buena comida, y desayunar mollete con manteca "colorá" y chicharrones es lo mejor. Los precios no son caros, y las carnes están estupendas.

Decades I've been visiting it for breakfast on the way to Seville. Good food, and breakfast muffin with butter "blush" and greaves is best. The prices are not expensive, and the steaks are great.
