Endangered reptile species
The Esnite or Eznite is another hamlet in the municipality of Comares, it's on the sides of the road up to Comares from Benamargosa, a few kilometers from the crossing and after a considerable rise. The particularity of Esnite are the spectacular views of the coast (to the south) and of Periana, Sierra Tejeda and Peña del Hierro (Cútar) (north). It's a landscape dotted with farmhouses and almond trees. A recommendation is to carefully climb through this area that sometimes, especially in summer, has chameleons slowly crossing the road and is of special interest for being an endangered reptile species.
