This is a very cool restaurant to eat at every now and then. Everything from the tapas to the rice dishes are top level. And the best part is its locations, with a lookout point right on the beach.
The word “chiringuito” (“beach bar”) does not bring to mind pleasant eating experiences. El Cranc de la Olla in Altea is a beach bar with amazing views in an enchanting spot, despite the aggressive urban expansion in the area and the rising real estate prices.
El Cranc is one of those places that puts a lot of effort into offering its guests the best fish and a variety of rice dishes. And they know how to keep it simple: fresh grilled fish, grilled vegetables, baby squid, and a variety of rice dishes from Alicante. You’ll leave happy!
If you want to go to a beach bar, El Cranc is the best option and it’s a local classic with over 25 years of service.
