I spent this past weekend in Sant Salvador Platja with some friends and we went to eat at this restaurant. It’s located right on the beach in a building that dates back to 1780. We ate in what they called “the box,” a covered dining area that extends out over the sand of the beach.

The first thing I can say about this restaurant is that the servers are very nice. They took us to our reserved table immediately and soon brought us our menus and a small starter.

We ordered three plates to share: some bravas potatoes, baby cuttlefish, and some Catalan-style fried squid, all of which were delicious and well-presented. Then, we split a wonderful paella, teriyaki tuna (mmmm), and a sirloin steak.

This is a good place to sit down for dinner, but it’s also great for sampling a variety of tapas. The terrace is nice and sunny and the breeze keeps it from getting too hot. The service is good but the prices are a bit high. To be fair, all the restaurants in the area are somewhat more expensive than usual. After eating, you can take a nice walk along the Sant Salvador beach.
