Best burger in the city
Edzo's was rated top five in Time Out Chicago's latest best burger in the city issue. It's no wonder why. It has got to be the best burger I've ever had in the city. Not only is the meat ground and seasoned in house, but they come together with the most flavorful burger concoctions that make your mouth water just to think about Edzo's! It may not look very impressive coming in a plastic tray and no servers to take your order, but this place is one of Chicago's hidden gems.
When walking into Edzo's one of the first things to notice is the atmosphere. A young customer said it best when they said "Cool! Old school." There's pictures that must be from the sixties and colorful paintings, and the music playing is always a cover of some sixties or seventies or eighties artist.
Everything here is focused on flavor! I had the "Sconnie" (which is an ugly nickname Chicagoans give Wisconsin folk). This burger has a famous cheese from Wisconsin that is rich and delicious, grilled onions and spicy ketchup. We also shared "FBI fries" which were Italian herbs, butter and parmesan fries paired with a house made marinara dipping sauce.
Best Chicago burger!
