Amazing flea market in Budapest
Ecseri Piac Market is an amazing flea market in the outskirts of Budapest. It’s a bit out of the center but you can get there easily by bus. You can honestly find everything but some of the most interesting finds are objects from the Nazi era. For example, I found a golden Leica camera and two carved swastikas which apparently belonged to a German army general. If you’re passionate about photography, I recommend bringing along some extra florins because there are several stalls which specialize in cameras from the late 1800’s up until the 1970’s. You can find Polaroid, Kodak, Belfoca, Canon...seriously, everything and then some! I bought a 1940’s Kodak camera and a Belfoca from the 1920’s, both still in working condition. The nice thing is that I didn’t pay much, maybe around 50 euros in total.
