Eating in the Transiberiano
In the Trans-Siberian train is a bar and restaurant where you can drink an authentic Russian beer, or eat a home-cooked meal, but you can also buy your ticket with an all-inclusive meal option, which is what we did. You can choose between two apetizers and two entrees, but we recommend the vegetable soup with fish and lentils. Another good option is to get off at the station to buy something that the older ladies have cooked to bring in extra income for their miserable pension. In that case you have to be careful because they only speak Russian, and nothing is what it seems. We bought some biscuits and filled them with an exquisite Russian caviar from the supermarket.
