Easter in Bulgaria

Have you seen a Bulgarian Easter? One of the most interesting things about these celebrations, are the painted eggs. I think that the photos speak for themselves ......................... .................. Legend says that when Jesus Christ was crucified an egg was put between his legs, it turned red when the Holy blood touch it. Because of this tradition the first egg has to be painted red, and they cross the foreheads of children so they have good health. They play with the eggs (when boiled) they collide one side first and then the other. The winner is the one with a whole egg. Those that break them ...
