Earthquake Park

Earthquake Park is a park near the Anchorage airport in Turnagain by the Sea neighborhood. In 1964, the strongest earthquake in North America (8.6 on the Richter scale) occurred on a Friday and the sea swallowed the entire neighborhood. The Park has lots of nature and has several monuments and lots of information about earthquakes and what happened that day.
