Dyrhólaey

Dyrhólaey is a small peninsula in the south of Iceland, near the town of Vik í Myrdal. It's home to many birds that live on the island, among which are the famous Puffins! What surprised me most about this place was its long black sand beaches, the volcanic rock formations and the Puffins. When I went there I didn't expect to find them and hadn't seen any on the island. It's an easy place to find, but not so much to get to, because the access road that leads to the cliffs isn't paved. Once we got there we spotted a bird from an elevated view of the area and we took a look at Myrdalsjokull glacier.
