1 review of Dunblane Museum

Intriguing collection of books

Excellent

Founded in 1943 as a nonprofit organization, the museum is located next to the famous Cathedral of Dundee, in the center of town in what was the house of the deacon of the cathedral during the 17th century. The museum shows different objects from different times related to religious life in the area, such as remnants of the Augustinian Abbey of Cambuskenneth. In addition there is an intriguing collection of books that the museum very kindly puts at the disposal of any academic researcher that may be in need. It's free to enter the museum and inside there is a store and making a voluntary donation is recommended to at least help cover the daily expenses involved in the opening and operating of the museum.
