Most interesting place in Dunbar
The port is probably the most interesting place in Dunbar. For one thing, it was built on rocks and accessing it is quite dangerous. Entering and exiting the port can only be accomplished by the most experienced sailors. The port was built in this manner to protect the area from storms and also to keep the water temperature warmer which influences the entire atmosphere. You can also see seals swimming and playing here (which attracts the attention of visitors, especially children). If you look at the curious shape of the rocks in the harbor which have been eroded over the years, you'll notice that they're similar to those that form the famous Giant's Causeway in Northern Ireland.
The walk through this historic port is one of the most pleasant and traditional things that we did. If you're lucky, you'll even see the fishermen returning from the day to unload their catch of the day. This also makes it a good place to eat fish and seafood. On sunny days, the view is excellent and you can also visit the ruins of the castle that once stood there.
