Dulce River to Livingston

The Rio Dulce is one of my favorite places in Guatemala. However, having been a few times I have realized the differences between the options to travel from the town of Rio Dulce (where the bus leaves from Flores, or from Guatemala City) to the Garifuna village of Livingston. The town of Livingston itself fascinates me. There are two options: a boat for tourists or the public boat. Obviously the boat for tourists costs far more. But it is less crowded and you can stay longer to walk around the big canyon. It is fascinating to see a little place with sulfur where the water is hot and hear the echo against huge walls of rock.
