Dry Basin on Aja Tributaries

Outside the main rivers that usually bring water throughout the year, such as Aja, Nazca Valley is drawn by many tributaries that carry water only in times of thaw. It was a surprise, after traveling and circumvent miles of sand, just behind a dune and wham!, A river basin, dry, and sometimes invaded by green and leafy Huarangos . After driving on it a few miles, we stopped in a shady area of Huarangos, where we had breakfast and instructions. The tree gives a good lesson for survival. We could see how to make and store wood charcoal. The lateral rows of green huarangos were flanked by reddish hills and on other occasions by whitish sand dunes, and I still do not understand how they don´t plummit to the canyon.
