Desert and Camels

My favorite tour on my trip to Tunisia was the 1 hour camel ride. We signed up for this excursion at our own hotel Abou Nawas Boujaafar, because there were constantly people selling the tours and we thought it would be very funny. The reason we chose this tour and no other was because we didn't want to go into the Sahara desert in August/early September or brave the extreme heat. I think it's essential to take a camel ride in Tunisia, since each country has its own attractions, the desert and camels are Tunisia's. The tour really wasn't expensive, and I think it worked out to about 15 dinars per

Person and was less than 15 minutes drive from the Avenue Habib Bourgiba from our hotel.
