Dove Cottage and The Wordsworth Museum

Wordworth is one of the most famous romantic poets in English literature, who worked with his friends Robert Southey and Samuel Taylor Coleridge in the Lake District, where you will find this small museum. It is preserved as it was when inhabited by the Wordsworth family (husband, wife and her sister, Dorothy) from December 1799 to May 1808. The visit to the home is guided and is a lot of fun because of the furniture, paintings and poems that you'll see on the tour. Dove Cottage is actually a mini cultural complex including a gift shop, a tea room, a very nice Italian restaurant and an art gallery.
