Dornie
Dornie is a village near the lake, on the west coast, which at a first glance might not say anything to the visitor. It is just a 5 minute walk from one of the most photographed and well-known castles in the country, Eilean Donan Castle. Moreover, it is located just 12 km from the bridge that will introduce us to one of the most visited islands of Scotland, Skye, which makes it a perfect location to stay and explore the area. As a town it is gorgeous, with a quiet little life centred around its post office (where you can buy anything) and the hotel that carries the same name as the town. Historically, the town was founded in ancient times, because of the activities generated by the castle at different stages.
