Dona Vierna Fountain
The monumental fountain Vierna Dona is the emblem of the town of Bourg Saint Andéol. It's a Carrara marble statue, representing the personage so loved by the people of Dona Vierna of Balazuc, because it gave the city Laoul forest. Thanks to money from forest exploitation, Bourg Saint Andéol was one of the first towns in France to get the electrical and safe drinking water in all its streets. To celebrate this event, the fountain was built in the modern city center, between the station and the old walls. The fountain was made by Bourg Saint Andéol, and he built it based on inspiration by Delorme.
