Dirleton Castle

From Edinburgh, heading to the east coast (North-Berwick) we reached the village of Dirleton, which is famous for its castle and gardens. The funny thing is that the castle, which now belongs to the government, is in its current state thanks to private bands. A local noble family, the Nisbets, captivated by the views that some land had, made the castle which was bought in 1660 and kept it on her own, including care of the huge gardens, generation after generation until the government, recognizing their work took care of it.
